Model Farm-to-School Initiative: The Framingham High School Garden
Framingham High School, under the guidance of Framingham food services director Brendan Ryan, has created a flourishing school garden over the past two years. The garden, which features fruit, vegetables, and herbs, engages students in growing their own food, teaches them about healthy eating, and provides fresh, healthy produce for the cafeteria. Students help to maintain the garden, which is about half the size of a football field.
